The Climate and Cryosphere Lab

The Climate and Cryosphere Lab in the Geography Department at the University of British Columbia focuses on providing fundamental insights about the nature and implications of past and contemporary cryospheric change. Some of our current research projects focus on quantifying glacier change in response to a warming climate and warming oceans, landscape responses to changing glacier dynamics, and the effects of climate change on meltwater resources. We work in British Columbia, Alaska, Patagonia, Antarctica, Greenland, and the Himalayas. We are also involved in local and international political and policy debates surrounding climate change, creative science communication endeavors, and experiential cryospheric and geomorphologic education.

We look forward to hearing from those interested in learning more about, collaborating with, or becoming members of the Climate and Cryosphere Lab. Please contact us with your questions or comments.
